NCAP offers confidential HIV testing, counseling and referral services in the northeastern quadrant of the state. HIV testing is offered free of charge for individuals who have had experiences that NCAP considers high-risk for HIV transmission. For questions about the risk experiences that qualify an individual for a free HIV test, please contact our office during regular business hours. The testing technology that NCAP uses requires a four drop blood sample that is collected through a finger stick. This test type provides results in 10 minutes that are accurate for risk experiences occurring outside of a 90-day period from the test date, meaning that any risk experience that has occurred within the last 90 days is not covered.
